How to Use the Insulation Calculator

What it accounts for

• Volume is the area multiplied by the thickness.
• The R-value is the thickness divided by the product's thermal conductivity.
• Packs are based on a coverage figure that shrinks as the thickness grows.

Reading the R-value

A higher R-value means better insulation. Enter a target R-value to see the thickness that would meet it with the chosen product, then round to the nearest available thickness.
